Runner on an empty city street at dawn

Our story

Nothing In Your Way

Running gear that gets out of the way, so nothing stands between you and the run.

Every runner starts somewhere.

Maybe it's a first 5K. Maybe it's getting fit after a few years of letting it slide. Maybe it's the one hour of the day that belongs to you, the one that clears your head before everything else starts.

Whatever brought you here, you want what every runner wants: to feel better, body and mind. And to keep feeling it, week after week, long after the first burst of motivation wears off.

That's who RUNNR is for. Not the podium. Not the photoshoot. You.

The problem

Something always gets in the way.

It's rarely the running that makes people stop. It's everything around it.

The phone bouncing at your waist. The chafe that turns mile three into a countdown. The belt, the armband, the constant adjusting. Kit that asks for your attention when all you wanted was to switch off.

Then there's the quieter stuff. A running world that looks like it was built for someone leaner, faster and richer. Brands that charge a fortune and make you feel you have to earn your place before you've even started.

Running is the most accessible sport in the world. Shoes on, out the door. Nobody should be priced out of it, or made to feel it isn't for them.

How we got here

One for the body. One for the mind.

We know that feeling, because we've been there.

RUNNR started with two people and two reasons to run. One of us needed a goal: a first half marathon, to get fit, lose weight and quit smoking. The other started moving to climb back to better health and a clearer head.

Neither of us started as a runner. We started as normal people who needed something to change. And we both hit the same wall. The phone slipped out of our shorts. The thighs chafed. The kit that promised to help was priced for people who already looked the part.

So we started building the gear we wished we'd had. Not to look good on a start line, but to take away the small things that make people stop before running has a chance to change them.

What we do

Gear you forget you're wearing.

Every product we make starts with a real running problem: the chafe, the bounce, the thing you have to strap on before you can go. We solve it in the gear itself, so there's nothing to manage mid-run.

The best compliment our gear can get is that you forgot you were wearing it. Shoes on. Out the door. No kit fighting your stride. Just the run.

How we do it

Honest, comfortable and accessible.

Our mission is to make running easier to keep coming back to.

We design around the real frustrations that make people stop: chafing, bouncing phones, poor fit and kit that gets in the way. We keep it honest, keep it comfortable and keep the price fair, so you can build running into your life.

What we stand against

Not just for the lean.

You shouldn't have to lose the weight before you're allowed to look the part. Every body is a running body.

What we stand against

Not just for the fast.

Your pace is your pace. The first slow kilometre counts as much as a personal best.

What we stand against

Not $300 an outfit.

Premium quality shouldn't cost a fortune. The best version of you shouldn't cost a fortune to find.

What's at stake

Most people don't quit running. They quit the friction.

Week one feels great. By week three, the chafe is back, the phone is bouncing again and the kit is one more thing to think about on a morning you barely got out of bed for. So the run gets skipped. Then another. And the version of you that was just getting started never gets the chance to show up.

That's the real cost of gear that gets in the way. Not one bad run, but a habit that never gets the chance to stick.

Where we're going

Built for the long run.

Picture yourself a year from now. The first 5K is behind you, or the first half, or the hundredth easy morning run. Your head is clearer. Your body feels like yours again. Running isn't something you're trying to stick to anymore. It's part of who you are.

That's what we're building RUNNR for. Our vision is to become the running brand people credit with helping them stay in the sport, from the first nervous 5K to the version of themselves running gives back.

We'll keep making the gear, telling the stories and building the community that keep everyday runners going. You bring the shoes. We'll make sure nothing gets in your way.
